hunting

Most nights my mum, my step dad (Luke) and I go hunting. We sometimes shoot deer or pigs. We mostly shoot deer, we have been taking our dog out to find pigs but we haven't got any lately. The other night we went out and stalked a deer, we got close to it and then Luke took the shot, and hit it, my mum went to get the ute while me and Luke went looking for it and it was very muddy and there was this one patch of mud that was really deep and it went over my gumboot, when we found it we were all very happy, it was a 10 point stag. I held the light and put the head on the back of the ute.

Uncharted 4

For a while now in my spare time i've been playing a video game called Uncharted 4. It is a game where you play as a character called Nathan Drake and you go on an adventure to find Henry Avery’s treasure to pay off a debt for your brother (Samuel Drake). The prologue is where you are on a boat going to an island to find Henry Avery's treasure, other people are trying to get the treasure and after a while your boat gets rammed by another ship and you get knocked out. After that, you get another chapter where you get a flashback on when Nathan was in a jail with a fake guard that guides you to an old prison containing a clue to the location of the treasure.

There are 5 Uncharted games, I have played 4 of them and they are really good. Uncharted 4 took me about two weeks to complete and my favourite chapter is called Convoy, it's where you jump on multiple enemy trucks.

I can't wait to play Uncharted 5 and continue the storyline

weekend recount: sea of thieves

In the weekend I went to my dads house, I haven't seen them for a while because we went to lock down level 4.

when I was with him we got Mcdonalds twice and when we got home I played a video game called Sea of thieves.

Sea of thieves is a pirate game where you can look for treasure to increase your reputation with the gold hoarders, the merchant alliance or the order of skulls. while you find treasure you can run in to a Kraken, a Megaladon or skeleton ships.


There are three ship sizes: a sloop, a fast and fragile ship that can only hold 2 people, a Brigantine, a medium speed and a bit stronger ship that can hold 3 people, and then there is a galleon, a slow but strong ship that can hold 4 people.

When I played it I delivered a lot of chests, the way I got the chests was by using treasure maps and matching the islands with the map, after that I sailed to the island and solved a few riddles.

Sea of thieves is a game that I like playing because I like solving riddles and searching for treasure.

daily recount: my pets

My dog Bandit loves being walked, since lock down started we walk him nearly everyday.
Bandit is only one and a half years old I got him for Christmas, he is a Bull Mastif.
since we live on a farm he's always fascinated by the cows. he loves it when the other dogs: Dash, Luna and Spud come over to our house, they are his best friends. he chases my cat Possum around because he wants to play with her. Sometimes Bandit chases his tail and he loves food.




My cat possum is around six years old and she loves hunting for birds and mice, she also loves food and sleeping in the sun, we are surprised she hasn't hunted our chickens, she is always up to something when she isn't sleeping, she sleeps on my bed. she's had two lots of kittens I gave one kitten to my uncle he still has him, his name is Harley.

firewood

on Saturday we went to the pile of felled trees on the farm, I rode my bike over there. we hat to cut the logs into rings and I helped carry some of them over to the wood spliter, I got to use the wood spliter. I had to put the rounds on the spliter and then pull the handle so the blade would chop the wood and then we threw it onto the truck, we did this for most of the day. we did about five truckloads. now we have to stack it in the woodshed we have been doing this for a couple of days now, I have also been cutting kindling and earning some money.

geometry

I only got my password for mathletics this morning.

Today in geometry I learnt more about 3d shapes by naming them and by counting the faces and the edges on them.

I also found out what vertices are, it is the point where two or more lines meet to make an angle, sometimes its basically just a corner.

while I was practicing angles I remembered the difference between acute and obtuse, when a right angle is pulled in, its called acute, and when its pulled out its called obtuse.

my weekend

Imagine this..

Its Saturday morning, i'm in bed, its nice and warm, i'm sleeping peacefully and then.... BANG...a bird flew straight into my window. i looked out to see it flying off and i laughed, I thought it was funny. 

it rained a lot in the weekend, the thunder and lightning was really loud and bright on Sunday morning.

on Saturday, because it was raining we didn't do much, we watched a movie it was called Jojo rabbit, it was set in world war 2 it was a comedy. it was funny and I had popcorn.

on Sunday night i helped make dinner, i chose stir-fry. it was good this is the recipe:

500 grams of meat- we used venison

4 cups of chopped vegetables- we used carrot, broccoli, onion, cabbage, and cauliflower

we coated the meat in two tablespoons of cornflour and browned it in the wok, then we put it in a bowl. we added two tablespoons of oil to the wok and stir-fried the veges. while it was cooking we made the sauce:

three crushed garlic cloves

1-2 teaspoons of minced ginger

1/3 of a cup of orange juice- we squeezed an orange

1/4 of a cup of soy sauce

3 tablespoons of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of cornflour.

after that we added the meat back to the wok with the veges, and stirred it in the sauce.
we cooked egg noodles for 2 minutes and added them.
