daily recount

firewood

on Saturday we went to the pile of felled trees on the farm, I rode my bike over there. we hat to cut the logs into rings and I helped carry some of them over to the wood spliter, I got to use the wood spliter. I had to put the rounds on the spliter and then pull the handle so the blade would chop the wood and then we threw it onto the truck, we did this for most of the day. we did about five truckloads. now we have to stack it in the woodshed we have been doing this for a couple of days now, I have also been cutting kindling and earning some money.

geometry

I only got my password for mathletics this morning.

Today in geometry I learnt more about 3d shapes by naming them and by counting the faces and the edges on them.

I also found out what vertices are, it is the point where two or more lines meet to make an angle, sometimes its basically just a corner.

while I was practicing angles I remembered the difference between acute and obtuse, when a right angle is pulled in, its called acute, and when its pulled out its called obtuse.

weekend recount

my weekend

Imagine this..

Its Saturday morning, i'm in bed, its nice and warm, i'm sleeping peacefully and then.... BANG...a bird flew straight into my window. i looked out to see it flying off and i laughed, I thought it was funny. 

it rained a lot in the weekend, the thunder and lightning was really loud and bright on Sunday morning.

on Saturday, because it was raining we didn't do much, we watched a movie it was called Jojo rabbit, it was set in world war 2 it was a comedy. it was funny and I had popcorn.

on Sunday night i helped make dinner, i chose stir-fry. it was good this is the recipe:

500 grams of meat- we used venison
4 cups of chopped vegetables- we used carrot, broccoli, onion, cabbage, and cauliflower

we coated the meat in two tablespoons of cornflour and browned it in the wok, then we put it in a bowl. we added two tablespoons of oil to the wok and stir-fried the veges. while it was cooking we made the sauce:

three crushed garlic cloves
1-2 teaspoons of minced ginger
1/3 of a cup of orange juice- we squeezed an orange
1/4 of a cup of soy sauce
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of cornflour.

after that we added the meat back to the wok with the veges, and stirred it in the sauce.
we cooked egg noodles for 2 minutes and added them.
